Today we have the conclusion to Sumida’s story in Himizu and we go back in time for a few chapters in Montage, starting with chapter 23. Last, but certainly not least, in today’s Karate we see to the start of the tournament.
With Himizu ended, we also have a few words from the staff involved with it.
crazy_horse:
Here we are, ladies and gentlemen, another series complete. I’ve been reading this one ever since SnoopyCool first picked it up, so many years ago. Then another group picked it up, but were left without a translator at the end of volume 2, so they had to stop.
Many thanks go to Masa, who was my partner in crime and without his help, this series would never have been finished or even started, cmertb, because if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have picked up the series in the first place, kyuubi654 for handling some of the more annoying redraws and georgi for proofreading.
Masa:
Hello, I’m Masa, the translator of Himizu. First of all, I’d like to say “Thank you” to all for supporting Deadbeat Scans and posting nice comments on the website. It really motivated us to scanlate this manga.
I think Himizu is an unique manga. It’s so dark and obscure, however, it’s equally moving and powerful. It’s a gritty showing of human darkness and harsh reality. The author, Furuya Minoru, made no attempt to tone it down, which is why this manga is so powerful.
Enjoy the last chapter.

Damn, thanks for finishing Himizu… I hate sad endings though.. hoped it would take a miracle turn at the last five pages but nay! The gods have spoken! Again, thanks for finishing it! Great translations throughout the entire manga and afaik there wasn’t a single spelling error. WIcked.
thanks
Thanks for Montage
wow, KSKM <3. thanx guys, I can hardly wait to know what will be the fight.
Two more chapters to go, then the 10 chapter long bout begins π
Eh, what a depressing ending. Thanks for translating the manga, and even going the extra bit with the notes sections, I enjoyed reading them.
Thank you very much! <3

Thanks for Himizu!
Excellent work as always… Thanks for Montage! (and for KSKM, but Montage is a favorite of mine)
I haven’t read Himizu, but now I’me tempted to start it π
Thanks for KSKM, Great work! now, time to see the amazing fight!
Thanks for finishing Himizu. Though, I’m confused as to how exactly *SPOILER* Sumida killed himself. I can’t tell from the last page where his body is lying, and there was a “BANG” on the third last page but what does that mean? I doubt he had a gun on him.
Remember the *SPOILER* gun that the yakuza gave him somewhere at the start of volume 4? And his body is somewhere near the bathhouse with the barrel tub. *END OF SPOILER*
Yeah… It was there the whole time, in the washing machine or what that was supposed to be.
Ah right, now I remember. That makes sense. Thanks.
Thank you for Montage ^^
Great work, I appreciate the effort you guys put it KSKM. You should accept dogecoin as donations!
thank you! more karate, more karate, more karate π π π
As soon as we get more translators, more translators, more translators.
Congrats finishing Himizu and thanks for KSKM. It was so much easier to read when I was behind, waiting is so hard!
Wowww many many thanks for finishing Himizu, Furuya Minoru rocks (although I found this manga to be the weakest among those by him that have been fully scanlated). Time to reread the whole thing from the beginning, I guess!
