This will obviously be the last update for 2012. Nothing special to finish off the year, just Karate 182 and Shibatora 95 (But hey, weekly releases of these series are special enough).
Looking back on the year, unfortunately not as lively in some area’s as we’d like.
For Karate, we managed to finish 58 chapters. That’s not too shabby for a series so heavy on the redraws. We even managed to get it going twice a week at one stage, and we’re aiming in 2013 to get back to that when we can.
Shibatora our first release for the year was chapter 64, so not quite once a week, but for a good portion of the year we were of course going at fortnightly releases rather than weekly. We’ve just started volume 12, and the last is volume 15. The aim is to complete this as fast as possible in 2013 :). If you’re a cleaner and want to see it done faster, sign up on the forums!
Capeta I think we did an amazing job on. We started the year at Volume 13, and now we’re into volume 16. This I think is really good for a series that struggles to find staff.
Unfortunately on our other projects front, we didn’t do that well.
Peace Maker we’ve done 5 chapters of, which isn’t great. Hopefully we can up the pace a bit more this year, as we’ve fallen behind a bit.
Rookies was a bit abysmal, we only managed 8 chapters. We really want to start moving the pace forwards with this one. Our aim is definitely to try and finish this one this year.
Lastly, Hanagata. The unfortunate state of this manga is we have absolutely no staff for it. The most important feature is the translator, because cleaning and typesetting we can manage if we must (But releases will just be slow). We have 1 more release of this left, otherwise it may end up on the discontinued pile if we can’t find a translator for it.
Well, the one other manga is Over Time, but that won’t go anywhere unless there’s a translator for it also. Only 1 volume left… would appreciate it if someone applies for the job ;).
As always, we’re looking for new staff. Especially cleaners who know what they’re doing. If you fit the bill, and want to help us out please apply on the forums.
Anyway, 2012 had it’s ups and downs. But we hope that 2013 will be full of ups. See you all in the new year.
